About St. Irene Primary and Junior School
St. Irene Primary and Junior School was established in 1992 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Mombasa. The school began as a small pre-primary institution with only 23 learners. Today, it has grown into a thriving learning community with 1,698 learners.

Our Story
St. Irene Primary and Junior School began as a pre-primary school with 23 learners. Through dedication, quality teaching, and strong leadership, the school expanded gradually to include lower primary, upper primary, and later junior school.
Today, the school proudly serves over 1,600 learners, reflecting the trust that parents and the community have placed in the institution.
The school has achieved excellent academic performance within Jomvu Sub-County and has earned recognition for outstanding participation in Music and Drama competitions up to the national level.
