History & Beginning

Discover how our school started, responding to the community’s urgent need for safe education for children.

🏫

The Beginning (2022)

This school is one of the youngest institutions founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph (SSJ). It was established after a tragic incident where two children lost their lives crossing a dangerous river to the nearest school. Responding to the community’s request, the congregation constructed two classrooms and a small office. The school officially opened on 4th April 2022 with four learners, one teacher, and two sisters.

🎁

Founders & First Day

The school was started by Sr. Ann Mutuku, Sr. Emmaculate Mkakisha, and Sr. Annet Wanza, the Councillor of Education. On the opening day, they brought gifts for the learners, which brought great joy to the children and encouraged them to begin their learning journey.

”Growing young minds with love

“Learning together, growing together — our children thrive in a safe, caring, and inspiring environment.”
