History of St. Joseph the Worker Nursery and Primary School
Since its official opening on 9th January 2012, St. Joseph the Worker has evolved into a cornerstone of academic excellence and moral integrity in Tanzania.
The school's foundation was laid by the visionary dedication of Sr. Salvata Massawe, Sr. Marietta Mwikali, and Sr. Rosmery Kilonzo. Following the land acquisition in 2006 and the commencement of construction in 2011, the school opened its doors with just 9 pupils and 4 staff members.
What began with four classrooms and a single office has flourished into a respected mission school. This remarkable growth has been fueled by the generous support of global partners and donors from Tanzania, Germany, and beyond, who have contributed essential infrastructure from classrooms to uniforms.
Today, we take immense pride in fostering "moral credibility" alongside academic excellence, ensuring our students grow into principled leaders who are empowered in both heart and mind.
Vision and Groundbreaking
Land secured with congregational approval; construction began to establish a foundation for quality education.

Inaugurated with 9 pupils and 4 staff members operating out of four classrooms and a single office.

Establishment of a dedicated library, modern computer room, and an on-site dispensary for student well-being.
