History of Sisters of St. Joseph Pre and Primary School ~ Mbutu
Founded on January 3, 2024, under the vision of Sr. Elionora, Sisters of St. Joseph Pre and Primary School ~ Mbutu was established to extend quality education and care to local families.
Following high enrollment at St. Joseph the Worker, the Superior General guided the Sisters to identify a new site to accommodate and support families traveling from afar.
Since opening our doors, our school has quickly transformed from an emerging initiative into a thriving, independent institution dedicated to holistic development.
Today, we take immense pride in our rapid academic improvement, a positive and nurturing learning environment, strong leadership, and the deep, meaningful relationships built with neighboring families and our community.

Driven by high enrollment at St. Joseph the Worker, the Superior General directed the search for a new campus to serve families traveling long distances.

Our school follows the New Revised Curriculum of Tanzania 2014 (2023 Edition) to provide quality education through competency-based learning and continuous learner assessment.

We follow the New Revised Curriculum of Tanzania 2014 (2023 Edition).
Primary Subjects
Mathematics, Science, English Language, Kiswahili, Geography and Environment, Arts and Sports, and Historia ya Tanzania na Maadili.
Languages & Learning
English and Kiswahili are the official languages used in the school. Learning is supported through mastery-based progression, actionable assessments, learner self-centred teaching, daily feedback, flexible instruction and teacher development.

Grade Four National Examination Results: Grade B.
Continuous assessment of learners is carried out in every class throughout each academic year.

Our School Day is celebrated on 19th March in honour of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Virgin Mary. The celebration brings together learners, teachers, parents and the school community.

Beginning in 2027, the school will hold graduation ceremonies for Standard 6 and Standard 7 learners, celebrating an important milestone in their education.
