The History of St. Angelo
Since its official inception in January 2011, St. Angelo Comprehensive School has evolved from a humble local initiative into a cornerstone of academic excellence. The school's foundation was laid through the visionary dedication of the Sisters of St. Joseph, answering a critical community need in Ukunda. Doors opened with just 36 learners spread across three classes, supported by 3 teachers, a cook, and a groundsman.
While initial sponsorship from Campvuur and Opsterland altered unexpectedly, the Sisters stepped in independently, sourcing crucial funding to firmly secure the school's operations and future growth.
Through resilient leadership, the institution transformed its academic capacity. St. Angelo has proudly grown from two-streamed classes into a vibrant campus running four streams per class, dedicated to empowering both hearts and minds across Pre-Primary, Primary, and Junior School (CBE) education.
